Great hotel for families
Date of stay: August 2022
Type of Stay: Travel with family
“I’ve stayed here a couple times while visiting my daughter at IU. It is a nice change of scenery from IU campus or downtown. It’s a village of small houses/townhomes with a cute gazebo in the center. The staff is very nice and helpful. We brought our 2 dogs the last stay and stayed in a 2 bedroom townhome. It was perfect for the family. It is not fancy like a chain hotel but it is very clean, quiet location, and very comfortable. I’d recommend for families or traveling with pets. We will definitely stay again while visiting our daughter.”

Comfortable
Date of stay: July 2022
Trip type: Traveled as a couple
Room Tip: You can cook in the unit if you want to. It’s also near Bruster’s, the best ice cream anywhere.
“We found Century Suites very comfortable and spacious. We had a living room/kitchen (fully equipped), a bedroom, a split bathroom, and two closets. I could live there. The grounds are spacious and there is a gazebo. The whole place has a colonial vibe. It’s not shiny and new, but neither is my house!“

“We were here for our 20th anniversary as my husband was working out if town. We booked this not knowing if it would be good or bad. We LOVED the neat old style. We loved the suite. Ours had a fireplace and we were very pleased with it. The mattress was hard but everything else was great. I really liked the lady working front desk too. Very nice. Would stay again definitely.”

“This place is incredible! The jetted tub was the perfect size, beds were comfortable. Bathrooms allowed us to separate the way they’re fixed, for privacy. The fireplace was amazing. Their cable wasn’t great, but we didn’t really rent a suite to watch TV and had it when needed during storms. I wouldn’t change a thing about our stay here!”

“I love staying at Century Suites. I’ve stayed 2 times and will always stay here when I want to stay near the lake. The first time I stayed, I was very impressed with the cute cottages but what really impressed me was how clean it was. My second visit was just as good as the first. It’s very private, can enjoy sitting outside on your porch or the gazebo. Rooms are very comfortable, nice bedding, has most everything you need, plenty of restaurant options for food delivery. I will definitely visit again.”

EXCELLENT Based on 119 reviews Tania CNovember 28, 2022.Verified Love the hospitality. We stay the week of Thanksgiving and we love it there. MarganaNovember 14, 2022.Verified Quiet and Right outside of Bloomington I paid around $160 a night to stay here over a weekend with some friends. One of those vacations where it's less about the destination and more about unplugging from life for a couple of days. It was perfect for that because it's close enough to Bloomington to have food delivered, but far enough away to be quiet. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the quality of the staff or services because I never interacted with any of the staff other than checking in and checking back out. I'm not saying that in a passive-aggressive way. This was by totally by choice and I never attempted to contact them. It did snow while I was there, and I noticed they cleaned off all the walkways very quickly. It looked like there was a restaurant on site, but it was closed when I checked in and checked back out.The place is a little run down. There are a lot of cracks in the tiles and some dents in the walls. Some reviews mentioned a musty smell, but no one with me mentioned a smell in any of the rooms. There was a slight musty smell in a wardrobe we didn’t use, but it wasn’t unpleasant. The furniture was antique/dated looking and the carpet was thin in spots. If I’d paid a lot to rent the room then these might be issues, but otherwise it just felt quaint. It’s like staying with your grandma who can’t afford to renovate because she’s living on social security, but she still takes care of her house. The beds were the biggest issue we all had. The mattresses were very firm, but a weird sort of firm that none of us were used to experiencing. I like a firm mattress, so I enjoyed it. They seemed a little narrow for queen sized beds, but it may have been the large bed frames. OMG those bed frames! The foot board attacked me multiple times when I accidentally wandered into it. They also put both queen beds in the same room for some weird reason. So, if you’re bringing your kids, then you should pack ear plugs and blindfolds. The best part of the room was the jetted tub. It was large enough for two full-figured adults to enjoy together. The fireplace in the bedroom and living area were also a nice touch. That musty smell in the wardrobe was pretty awesome too. I snuck a few sniffs here and there when no one was looking, but that might not be your thing. Another cool feature was the chairs in our dinette. I’m not sure if all the rooms have the same chairs, but every time I ate I felt like I was in a gangster movie. I definitely enjoyed the overall experience and I look forward to staying there again. BrianOctober 10, 2022.Verified Homecoming 2022 Perfect place for a group if Fraternity brothers to reunite! The rooms, lay-out of suites and location to campus - super. Rooms a bit dates but my points above out weigh that by a long shot!Would absolutely recommend. Not fancy, a bit dated (however they do dated right), but most of all roomy and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and it is very clean. Great for a family. Our only observation is that they need some non-slip application in the shower as it could be a fall hazard. But not a deal breaker. Breakfast includes fresh fruit and grab and go individually wrapped items. Overall a good value for a college town. Both suites were spacious and comfortable. The options for snacks are a nice touch since they can be stored and prepared in the suite. I heard a little bit on noise from the other room in the double unit, but it wasn't a deal breaker.
